Death on The Border: The Season of Death
The first line of this Arizona Republic editorial says it all:
"The season of dying has started along Arizona's southern deserts."
May God forgive us for our sins!

God gave illegal aliens free will. It is they who are responsible for their own foolish actions. You treat them like children, lacking the ability to make rational decisions. May God for give you for your condescending ways.

Let's put this in perspective. We're supposed to acquiesce to illegal aliens and their supporters demands for changes in our immigration laws and policies because the latter die in the desert at the rate of a few hundred in a year. The death rate for motorists in this country alone is in the order of thousands per month, yet the public isn't marching on Washington. I hardly think that deaths of people due to their own ill advised actions in violating our immigration laws will attract much sympathy. It hasn't before and for common sense reasons it will never do so.
It's not as though comprehensive immigration reform would stop attempts at illegal immigration, as once the guest worker programs are filled, people will still attempt crossings and die in the process, probably in the same numbers they do today. After all, Latin America is generating millions of poor every year, far more than we could ever accommodate in any guest worker program. Those who would say otherwise and exploit such deaths are shamelessly attempting to deceive the public for their own open borders agenda.
