Call for AG resignation
As the top official of the Department of Justice, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales oversees the federal employees responsible for adjudicating immigration cases as well as those responsible for charging and prosecuting immigration crimes. In an op-ed dated 3/11, the NYTimes is calling for his resignation -- something that Sen. Specter hinted at during hearings on Thursday. The op-ed does not mention immigration, focusing instead on the recent controversies around the FBI's illegal use of national security letters and Gonzales' defense of the President's warrantless wiretapping program. It is here.

Re: impeaching Gonzales
As Dirty Harry would say: go ahead Democrat punks, make my day!
Seriously, Republicans would like nothing better than this. Can you say political hari-kiri? How do you think Democrat-leaning Hispanic voters would react to such a move?

The Attorney General was nominated and essentially elected by La Raza. I stil view that as a slap in the face of all americans, and if you google and read of La Raza, you can see why. But this is critical in this issue. These are the folks who support La Raza.

Sooo.. who is this organization that traced their support down. I am a tree hugger, and this is the web that outlines who they are fairly clearly.
