According to a story just posted in the NYT, the 5th Circuit has just overturned the District Court's stay. It has held that the law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges to local hospitals can take effect pending the law suit challenging its constitutionality. Opponents of the new law say that many, many clinics will be closing by tomorrow as a result of the Fifth Circuit's ruling.
