Armenia's Law Views Gender as "Acquired" and "Socially" Fixed

This summer, Armenia adopted the law on “Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women" (the links is in Armenian; sorry to those who can't read Aremenian).

Article 3 of the law defined gender as “acquired, socially fixed behavior of persons of different sexes.”  The suggestion that gender is a social construction has caused some controversy
