Target and Organic Milk
The Minneapolis StarTribune includes an article questioning the "organicness" of Target Corp's Archer Farms organic milk. (Was Target's organic milk just regular?, Sept. 29) Target gets its organic milk from Aurora Organic Dairy, which also supplies Wal-Mart. Aurora has been under fire lately for not following organic standards, particularly regarding treatment of its cows.

Cornucopia Institute website -- Cornucopia is the watchdog organization that filed a complaint against Aurora, which then led to enforcement action, and the Consent Agreement. The link here is to the Cornucopia news archive; there are several pieces regarding the Aurora Dairy issue.
