Alabama Federal Ct Opinion on Marriage License Policy
The US District Court for the Middle District of Alabama released an opinion in a case brought by people challenging Defendant Probate Judge Reese McKinney’s marriage license policy, which, it was argued, required applicants to present proof of legal residence in the US and a valid Social Security card in order to receive a marriage license.
