Call for Papers: Science, Family, and Law

Program sponsored by the AALS Section on Family & Juvenile Law
and Co-Sponsored by the AALS Section on Law, Medicine, and Health Care
2011 AALS Annual Meeting
San Francisco, California

The Section on Family & Juvenile Law solicits papers to be presented at the Section's program at the 2011 AALS Annual Meeting--Science, Family, and Law.  Submissions should relate to the influence of scientific advances on family formation, family life, and/or family law.  The author of the paper selected will join panelists Prof. Emily Buss (University of Chicago), Prof. Radhika Rao (University of California-Hastings), and Mr. Shannon Price Minter (National Center for Lesbian Rights).
Full-time faculty of AALS member and fee-paid schools are eligible to submit papers.  The deadline for submissions in Monday, September 6, 2010.  The Selection Committee (comprising members of the Section's Exec. Comm.) will review papers anonymously and make its decision by Monday, September 27, 2010.  Please submit your paper--with no identifying information on the manuscript itself--to Administrative Assistant Felicia Burton at  Papers published prior to September 6, 2010 are ineligible; papers that have been accepted for publication but not yet published are eligible.
