Electronic Communication as Parental Visitation?

Sections 607 and 609 of the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act have recently been amended to address electronic communication in terms of parental visitation, to become effective January 1, 2010.  In essence, Illinois courts will have discretion in determining whether electronic communication is considered visitation.  See 750 ILCS 5/607 here and 750 ILCS 5/609 here for further details.
