Australian Government Asked to Criminalize International Child Abduction

The Family Law Reform Association of New South Wales is urging Australia’s government to make it criminal for a parent to take a child out of the country without the other parent’s consent.  Some are suggesting that these issues are best dealt with in the family court.  Read more here.  In the United States, however, parents already typically risk criminal charges for such actions.
