Child Welfare Settlement in New Jersey

"New Jersey has spent $7.5 million to settle a lawsuit over a child welfare case in which a 7-year-old boy’s mummified remains were found in a basement here. The payout, arranged last year but only recently announced, is the second-largest made by the State Division of Youth and Family Services over child welfare mistakes, according to state officials."
