Tennessee Senate Passes Abortion Ban Amendment; Sends Measure to the House

The Tennessee Senate by a vote of 24-9 passed a proposed abortion ban amendment to the State Constitution on Thursday. The proposed Amendment would read that "Nothing in Tennessee's constitution secures or protects the right to an abortion or funding of an abortion."
