The Scottish Daily Record reports that the leader of Scotland's Catholics will use his New Year message to condemn gay "weddings". Cardinal Keith O'Brien will claim that by allowing same-sex unions, ministers have "condoned and endorsed trends in society that are ruinous of family life".
