UK calls for Tax levy to provide for child support payments

LONDON (Reuters) - The United Kingdom’s child support payments should be collected by the Inland Revenue rather than the much criticised Child Support Agency, former welfare minister Frank Field said on Thursday. "We've passed the stage where a billion pounds of maintenance has been written off as unrecoverable," Field told the BBC.
