LONDON (Reuters) - The United Kingdom’s child support payments should be collected by the Inland Revenue rather than the much criticised Child Support Agency, former welfare minister Frank Field said on Thursday. "We've passed the stage where a billion pounds of maintenance has been written off as unrecoverable," Field told the BBC. "We're in a position where seven in 10 parents expecting maintenance are either getting nothing at all or only partial payment.
