Climate Planning
My law school, Willamette, is in the process of creating its action plan for going climate neutral. Although the University has not yet adopted an official target, I expect that it will strive for climate neutrality before 2015. This, of course, will require substantial investments in energy efficiency as well as on-campus creation and use of green energy. Naturally, however, 100% green energy is not an immediate option, thus Willamette will need to create or acquire real offsets for our carbon sins, i.e. reforestation/biosequestration, not just REDD or financing green energy investments. Please share what your school is doing on the score.September 3, 2009 | Permalink
