Registration is now open for NAELA's second webinar on implications of Windsor. This webinar is scheduled for November 15th, and is titled, Implications & Developments After Windsor - What It Means Now To Be a Same Sex Spouse: Counseling The Client About The Good, The Surprising and the Unexpected. The 90 minute webinar starts at noon eastern, and features Cynthia Barrett, Oregon elder and special needs law attorney (and past NAELA president), Professor Jason Palmer from Stetson Law and Stephanie Schneider, Florida elder law attorney and CELA.
Topics include an update on the actions of federal agencies in implementing Windsor, implications for those clients who live in states that do not recognize marriage equality or that offer civil unions or domestic partnerships, implications for clients in states that do recognize marriage equality, and practice management tips for representing LGBTQ clients, as well as marketing tips.
