Batey on Integrating Professional Responsibility into Teaching Criminal Law

This short article suggests ways of introducing issues of professional responsibility into the first-year course in Criminal Law. Use of cases involving lawyer defendants and attorneys with questionable trial tactics, a class on theft that highlights ethical issues for both lawyers and law students, and an examination of the problems of client perjury are all discussed.
