Friedman on last week's confrontation clause developments

Richard Friedman (Michigan) has two interesting posts on last week's decision in Michigan v. Bryant and oral argument in Bullcoming v. New Mexico.

The confrontation clause case is definitely interesting. On a purely commonsense level, it seems perfectly reasonable to admit such a dying declaration.
