"Unproven Forensic Evidence: What to Do Next?"

That's the title of a story by Caleb Groos at FindLaw discussing hearings by the Senate Judiciary Committee on how to improve forensics. The hearings follow last February's release of a report by the National Academy of Sciences addressing problems in the field. The report is available here.
