The University of Houston Law Center's Criminal Justice Institute and the Houston Law Review present The Booker Project: The Future of Federal Sentencing. Federal judges, nationally-recognized scholars (Doug Berman, Ron Wright, Frank Bowman, and Nancy King), and federal practitioners will examine the meaning and legacy of the 2005 U.S. Supreme Court decision that examined the constitutionality of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
