A Chicago college student was charged with making a false rape allegation.  A Canadian pathologist testified in a board of inquiry that pathologists should not appear for the prosecution or defense, but rather as impartial friends of the court.  A Washington state firefighter was charged with arson and attempted murder after his house burned and flammable materials appeared on the computer records associated with his Safeway shopper card; charges were dropped when someone else confessed.
