NY Legislature Votes to Reduce Mandatory Sentencing Under Rockefeller Drug Laws

New_york_legislature Yesterday, New York's legislature voted to reduce the impact of some of its notorious Rockefeller drug laws.  These laws, which carry mandatory minimum sentences, greatly influenced the spread of mandatory minimums across the country when they were passed more than 30 years ago.  To listen to the NPR report on this issue, click here.  [Mark Godsey]
