West Virginia University College of Law Launches Collaborative Innocence Project
West Virginia University College of Law is launching an innovative and interdisciplinary Innocence Project. The WVU Law Clinic and the WVU Forensic and Investigative Science Program will collaborate in an effort to use DNA analysis and other forensic methods to exonerate the wrongly convicted. This law/forensics collaboration is the first of its kind. Explains WVU Clinic Director Marjorie McDiarmid, “It makes for a dynamic initiative where students apply what they learn to real-world situations."
