Assistant Professor of Management (Legal and Ethical Studies)
The School of Business Administration at Oakland University is recruiting a faculty member to
teach legal environment of business, international business law and business ethics courses at
the graduate and undergraduate levels beginning in the 2018 -2019 academic year. This position
is a full-time tenure track position. The candidate’s primary teaching will be focused in the area
of the legal environment of business for undergraduate and MBA students over fall and winter
semesters at Oakland University and branch campuses. Candidates must have no less than three
years legal experience; an active research agenda; and a history of scholarly publications. We are
particularly interested in individuals who have previous experience teaching law at the university
or law-school level; membership and participation as a member of a law school law review;
experience as a law clerk at an appellate court or federal district court; and an undergraduate,
masters, or doctorate degree from an AACSB-accredited college or university, or other relevant
postgraduate degrees. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to
diversity and inclusion.
The School of Business Administration is AACSB-accredited. It has 2,000 undergraduate and 550
master’s students. The school is committed to enhancing its instructional technology and global
