Short the Regional Banks

The national banks get all the news but the real rot is in the small regional banks.  They hold bad paper and have much less cushion to survive the hard times.  caveat emptor

With over $32B in assets and just over $19B in deposits as of March 31, IndyMac was the biggest American lender to fail in more than two decades. IndyMac was spun off from Countrywide Financial back in 1997.
