Zions Acquisition of Amergy

Zions Bancorp to Acquire Amergy Bancorp for $1.7 Billion in Cash and Stock (See AP Article).  Zion operates within 8 Western States and Amergy is the 3rd largest independent bank in Texas.   The deal is awaiting approval from Amergy's shareholders.  The acquisition of Amergy will aid Zions in its effort to move into the Texas market.
