MLB withdraws motion to disqualify Dodgers' lawyers

"Los Angeles Dodgers will be allowed to continue to use its lawyers to represent it in its bankruptcy petition, a day after the Major League Baseball withdrew a motion to disqualify the team's lawyers.

In court papers filed with a bankruptcy court in Delaware, the league said it was withdrawing its motion on the suggestion of the court appointed mediator."

Los Angeles County Bar Foundation Casino and Poker Night

Program Information:
You are invited to join us on Thursday, November 10, 2011 for an evening of fun,
food and Vegas-style gaming at Casino & Poker Night hosted by the Los Angeles County
Bar Foundation at the newly-redesigned LA Athletic Club. Casino & Poker Night is a
first time event to support the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s three pro bono
Projects – Domestic Violence, AIDS Legal Services and Immigration Legal Assistance.
Last year alone, the three Projects helped more than 20,000 people and provided over
$3.6 million in pro bono services.

The Foundation will also recognize Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck,
United States Court of Appeals Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw and others for their support
of these causes.

Your contribution of $500 for the “High Rollers Package,” will provide you with
exclusive access to the VIP Lounge, an open bar and buffet, $1500 in Casino Cash and
60 RAFFLE Tickets for a chance to win luxury raffle prizes. A “Red Carpet Admission”
contribution of $200 includes three complimentary drinks and buffet, $500 in Casino
Cash and 20 RAFFLE Tickets.

You will receive the RAFFLE tickets when you check in and automatically be entered
into the RAFFLE drawing for a four night stay at a deluxe flat in Paris located in
the Montmartre District near the Basilica Sacré-Cœur; a one week stay at a 3-bedroom

Innkeepers, Cerberus set for bankruptcy trial

"Innkeepers USA Trust will try to persuade a judge to force would-be buyers to proceed with their planned $1.12 billion acquisition of some of its hotels as a trial begins on Monday in a U.S. bankruptcy court.

Innkeepers, the bankrupt operator of 72 hotels under Hilton, Marriott and other brands, sued Cerberus Capital ManagementChatham Lodging Trust in August. Earlier that month, Cerberus and Chatham backed out of a joint venture agreement to buy 64 of Innkeepers' properties."
