Bank of America Still Wants to Tear Out 2 Tamarack Lifts, Says Resort is Holding Them Hostage

"Bank of America wants its lifts back from Tamarack Resort, accusing the troubled vacation destination of holding the equipment hostage to extract more money for its assets. In U.S. Bankruptcy Court documents filed Wednesday, the bank's leasing arm argued it should be allowed to rip the lifts out and sell them to somebody else because they aren't necessary to Tamarack's future."

Grocery Chain A&P Files for Bankruptcy

"Grocery store chain Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co (GAP.N) filed for bankruptcy on Sunday, drained of cash by tough competition and a sluggish economic recovery.  Once the largest U.S. grocer, the owner of about 400 stores under brands such as A&P, Waldbaum's and Super Fresh filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in New York with more than $1 billion in assets and more than $1 billion in debt, according to court documents."

Glendale Council Sets Vote on New Lease for NHL's Coyotes

"The Glendale City Council has scheduled a vote for Tuesday on a new 30-year lease for the Phoenix Coyotes, a long-awaited move that could clear the way for sale of the team by the NHL to Chicago businessman Matthew Hulsizer...The NHL purchased the Coyotes in U.S. Bankruptcy Court a year ago with the stated intention of selling it to someone who would keep it in Glendale."
