Governments Ground Dreamliners

Obviously, today's top story is the emergence of a near-global consensus among aviation regulators to prohibit the flying of Boeing 787s until it's technical problems can be investigated. Last week the FAA announced plans to take another look at the aircraft. Then Wednesday, after another incident, All Nippon Airlines and Japan Airlines announced that they would stop flying the aircraft temporarily. Wednesday night, the FAA issued an emergency airworthiness directive halting operation of U.S.-registered 787s. Regulatory bodies in Japan, Europe and India have since followed suit.
