Sokol - Do I really Look Like "The Greatest Insurance Agent of All Time" in the Nationwide Ads?

Posted by D. Daniel Sokol

I read through my student evaluations this morning from last semester (good news: high marks).  A number of the evaluations noted that I had a more than passing resemblance to the guy in the Nationwide Insurance ads and that we have similar mannerisms.  What do you readers think?

I can see where they're coming from. Do you begin your class with "1/2 grade off, for every day you don't show up to class"?

No you have it all wrong. The professor needs to give "vanishing absences" such that you get an extra absence for every 2 weeks straight that a student comes to class (which might include 6 classes a week, or 12 straight classes...it's no joke). Taking corporations and business associations together was sweet through but not as sweet as a 3-credit Law & Entrepreneurship class. Where else can you take such an in-depth course on that?!?
