The 7th Circuit recently held that an employer is liable under the Americans with Disabilities Act for failure to accommodate a parts sales manager who asked to be excused from mopping store floors because it aggravated his back condition and properly was assessed $200,000 in punitive damages for “reckless indifference” to his rights.
