Public Schools Thinking About 4 Day School Week

Schools Debate A Four-Day Week is an interesting story from the August 10, 2008 Parade.com. Why? To save costs. However, there is a problem and its a big problem. Parents work 5 days a week and if their children were in school for only 4, this would lead a void. However, this is an interesting thought.

I think that four day week is a bad idea. Kids/teenagers would have longer school days and their breaks would be shorter, plus summer would be a lot shorter. Kids/teenagers might also have to go to school on Saturdays.Who wants to go to school on a saturday? All this would probably happen so that they could make up the time that was lost. People who work 5 days a week, what would they do about their kids, espically for people who can't afford daycare. I am currently in school myself and personly would hate to only go 4 days a week. I love only having to go to school every day for 8 hours, and I love my breaks.
