Leigh Jones has an interesting story in the November 19,2007 National Law Journal entitled "Scholars cited for 'bad' advice". This article previews a Stanford Law Review article by Columbia Law Professor William Simon who leveled fierce criticism against a group of fellow scholars. He contends that professors from other law schools gave questionable advice in order to protect the lawyers who hired them. That is a fairly serious allegation and it is somewhat surprising that it is arising in the context of a law review article.
